NSW V QLD State of Origin Darts June 2025
 

Over the June long weekend, 36 players from NSW & QLD gathered at

Warilla Bowls Club for an action-packed weekend of darts, mateship and interstate rivalry.

Friday night – Welcome & Social darts

We kicked off the weekend with a friendly get-together while welcoming our friends from QLD.

 A Blind draw was held for the Singles & Doubles competitions, followed by a night of social darts with members of the Warilla Darts Club.

Saturday Morning – Doubles competition

Play began at 9.30am with mixed state doubles teams taking to the oche.

Saturday afternoon – Singles Competition

The singles event saw some fierce matchups, including an all-QLD father-and-son showdown, with Liam O’Toole defeating his dad, Dennis O’Toole, in a great battle.

Sunday – State of Origin

Sunday saw the big one, the State of Origin Shield featuring.

2 Men’s teams of (6 per side)

1 Ladies team (6 per side)

The competition ran throughout the day, with some fantastic darts thrown and great sportsmanship all around.

 Final Results:

Men’s: QLD defeated NSW 24 – 20

Ladies: NSW defeated QLD 14 – 8
